Think you don’t need a links page? Think again. Do you think linking to businesses similar to yours is bad? Again, think AGAIN. It’s common practice among some Wisconsin website designers to list all of their clients on the links pages of … ALL of their clients. The only person that helps is the designer himself. It doesn’t do much for YOU, unless any of the other sites he’s designed are similar to yours. If you sell jewelry, having a link to a company that manufactures window blinds or a Mom & Pop car dealership isn’t going to do much for you in the way of bringing the search engine spiders to your site. HOWEVER, if you sell jewelry, trading links with your suppliers, vendors or other local artisans WILL help. Having links from similar sites is very, very useful.
