I’ve been doing this for over 15 years. Wisco-Web-Design is a new domain, but I operated under MadBeeWeb from March of 2000 until May of 2016. I KNOW what I’m doing and I will do everything in my power to give you the website that you envision.

I am not a fly-by-night company and I will NOT desert you in the middle of your site construction. I have been doing this for over 15 years and I intend to keep doing it for as long as I can.

The (WO)Man Behind the Curtain

In the past thirty-five 35 years I’ve been a beautician, nail technician (nail salon owner), bookkeeper, a floral designer (wedding flowers), greenhouse employee, bartender, waitress and body shop employee. Many of those occupations gave me the opportunity to be creative and I’ve never lost my yearning to create beautiful things. In 1999, I decided to open my own design company. I registered madbeeweb.com in March of 2000 and haven’t looked back.

After a few months I had the opportunity to begin designing personal sites for the private sector – which I did for the next ten years. It was fun and I met a lot of great people, but I am beginning to feel boxed in with the scope of creativity. While I would never abandon my current clients, I am ready to break out of the box.

My experience with so many diverse businesses has given me unique opportunity to learn how each should be presented on the web. I am self-taught, but I am extremely passionate about web design and take real pride in every site I design.

My design philosophy is simple: all web sites should be accessible and appealing. Every site I design is coded by hand, validates to current standards developed by W3C and is viewable by every browser, at every resolution. I routinely optimize meta tags and page copy so that the site is easily found and indexed by search engine spiders. While I don’t offer search engine optimization as a matter of course, preferring to leave that for those with more experience, I will say that my clients tend to rate quite well in the search engine rankings. I consider each site as not just a job, but as an opportunity for me to express my creativity and attention to detail. I am lucky enough to be acquainted with a group of talented individuals who are experts in the web design industry and I consult them on a per project basis.

I optimize every graphic, whether it’s a scanned photo or a Photoshop image, to ensure that it doesn’t slow the loading of the page. I am extremely proficient with CSS, HTML and JavaScript. I can set up guestbooks, newsletters, forums and bulletin boards and I’ve aided several of my clients in setting up their e-mail programs.

I am polite, respectful and helpful to my clients. In return, I ask that my client be polite and respectful, as well. I request respect for MBW’s policies, terms, and work hours. If I feel that a client is demeaning, impolite, demanding, threatening or rude, the client’s account will be suspended, the client will be blacklisted and all communications from JLReis Website Design will cease. The client is free to find a third party designer, host and/or programmer for assistance in this case and JLReis Website Design claims no responsibility for any expenses that the client incurs if blacklisted.
